Chelsey started out by acting out made up plays at
home and making up songs and playing her Barbie guitar.
She said she wanted to be like the kids on TV. She
has been doing this since the age of 3 years. At age
5, she did her first Theater show and has been loving
acting since. She continues to do plays, but still
had her heart set on film and TV. She loves going
to school and she recently received a award for her
acting at the CARE 2007 awards event at Universal
Studio's, Hollywood. She met lots of kids and made
friends easy. She looks forward to working hard and
getting more training and getting her acting jobs.
Amongst her screen appearances, she played "Little
Girl in Blue" in "American Horror Story:
Asylum" with Jessica Lange.
Gilles
Nuytens: Hello,
and nice to meet you! Firstly I would like to know
what drives you in life? What are the most important
things in life for you?
Chelsey Valentine: My family always
comes first. My friends, my cat Simon. My education,
I love school. I also like helping people, it makes
me feel good to do things for others!
Gilles Nuytens: Why
did you want to become an actress? What do you like
the most in acting?
Chelsey Valentine: It was always
fun to pretend to be someone else and perform. The
excitement of everyone creating a scene and characters
to tell a story!
Gilles Nuytens: What's
the most important thing you've learned lately, acting-related?
Chelsey Valentine: Always be prepared
and keep training! There is so much to learn about
being creative!
Gilles Nuytens: Generally,
before playing a character, how do you prepare yourself
mentally to be in the role?
Chelsey Valentine: I just try and
imagine this is really happening and considering my
characters feeling and how would I react to the situation.
And research about the project!
Gilles Nuytens: What
are the most difficult parts for you in acting? And
the easiest?
Chelsey Valentine: I believe that
if you believe in yourself and the role you're playing
that it will all come together. You have to look at
each role as a challenge! I Love them all!
Gilles Nuytens: Which
is the role you preferred to play at this point, the
best one, the one that most marked you?
Chelsey Valentine: Although it was
a small role on AHS, Missy Stone (aka) Little girl
in blue, I'd say it was the best, just prepping for
the role was an experience and knowledge that I will
never forget. And working with Jessica Lange was an
honor!
Gilles
Nuytens: Do you
have any hobbies? What do you like to do during your
free time?
Chelsey Valentine: I take guitar
lessons, I Love doing crafts and playing with my cat
Simon and my friends. Hanging out with my family!

future goals, challenges you want to do?

in charity and volunteer work. And continue my acting
career and sucess in everything I do.

you have a dream role?
Chelsey Valentine: Well, I have wanted
to be on Criminal Minds for a long time now! Love
that show!! Second, I'd like to work on Disney. Just
something fun!
Gilles Nuytens: As
a young actress, how do you manage your celebrity
to be able to stay down to earth?
Chelsey Valentine: I am real and
always true to myself. I will never change who I am
because of what I do. I will always treat people I
have known through my journey the same and not any
less. I live a normal family life and just lucky enough
to have the love and support of my family to purse
my dreams!
Gilles Nuytens: So,
you've been in "American Horror Story",
how was it like working on the show?
Chelsey Valentine: Amazing! Amazing!
and Cool!! An experience I will never forget!
Gilles Nuytens: How
did you enjoy playing with the other actors?
Chelsey Valentine: It was great,
the cast and crew were very nice and I learned a lot
watching the adult actors and how intense and passionate
they are.
Gilles Nuytens: What
will you keep in mind from this experience, your best
memory?
Chelsey Valentine: Don't be afraid
to open yourself up and be creative! Ask questions
and listen. And Jessica Lange holding my hand for
a few seconds!
She is so nice and very talented!!
Gilles
Nuytens: Any other
behind the scenes "secrets" you'd like to
share with us?
Chelsey Valentine: Working and making
the prosthetic dummy of my character was an experience
I will never forget! It was challenging having the
molds made of my face, legs and arms, but I am honored
to experience such a cool process at 11 years old!

see you're credited in the upcoming movie "Blood
Relative", can you tell us something about this
movie and your part?
